STAAR Theatre presents theatrical productions, both dramatic and musical, throughout the year. STAAR also hosts regional acts to enrich the area with a wide variety of diverse talents from comedic, to vocal, to authors, musicians and filmmakers.. Special events by STAAR include murder mystery dinners, holiday events and other engaging activities. More than 10,000 have attended productions at STAAR, traveling from throughout Middle and South Central Tennessee and North Alabama and beyond.
STAAR, Southern Tennessee Arts Repertory, is a 501c3 organization that engages in a number of initiatives with two primary purposes – to entertain and to educate.
In addition to productions and performances, STAAR offers STAAR Studio, an educational initiative that offers classes in the Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Cultural Arts for both children and adults.
