It Started with a Dream: In 1985, Paul Fields had a dream. He purchased a 1000 acre peninsula of prime lake front property on Norris Lake and called it Deerfield Resort. He started with a vision and never looked back.
Deerfield Resort is the one of the south's best known lake resorts, and is the largest resort on Norris Lake. Nestled between the Cumberland Mountains and the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains north of Knoxville, the lake offers more than 800 miles of shoreline and is a boater's paradise. The water is deep and pristine.
Guests at the resort enjoy a premier lodging experience with a marina, championship 18 hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts, children's playground, sand volleyball court and more. We are uniquely accessible by a 3200 foot paved private airstrip.
Deerfield is a family owned resort development and operated by Paul and Madeline Fields, son Scott, daughter Paula and husband Marc Le Jeune. Paul's brother Jim Fields and wife Dian and son Kevin own and operate the Greens at Deerfield Golf Course and The Greens Grill. The Fields Families live in Deerfield and are on hand to welcome any opportunity to assist owners and visitors.
Deerfield Resort is a private gated residential community located just north of Knoxville, Tn. and 15 miles off I-75, exit 134 at Caryville, Tn. and off exit 160 at Jellico, TN.
