The Appalachian Arts Center (AACC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in East Tennessee with a mission to support arts and crafts in Appalachia through education, sales, and community involvement.
The AACC features a gift shop filled with one-of-a-kind arts and crafts made by over 60 local juried in artists. The gift shop is a great place to pick up gifts for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, and pretty much any other occasion you can dream up! Our handcrafted items range from pottery, rugs, clothing, accessories, kitchen items, quilts, children’s items, photography, paintings and many more items too numerous to list. If you can’t visit us, you can visit our Online Shop where we have a good variety of work for sale by our artists.
The AACC also offers local arts and craft classes for community members of all ages to learn new skills creating their own art and play an active role in the arts supporting our local communities. In addition to supporting local artists and art seekers with the arts and crafts gift shop, the Appalachian Arts Craft Center has grown to become a highly recognized educational facility. Over the years, the Appalachian Arts Craft Center has expanded the building to house a learning classroom, pottery studio, and weaving studio. Our experienced and expert art instructors include many working art professionals with bachelor’s degrees in the creative and Fine Arts fields covering a variety of art skills ranging from handwoven textiles, nature photography, landscaping, pottery, painting, weaving and more. Above all, our art educators have an unwavering passion for the arts!
