The Appalachian Trail is accessible by an 8-mile drive from the park.
Harrison Bay State Park - Harrison
Relax and unwind on 1,200 acres at Harrison Bay State Park along the shoreline of Chickamauga Lake. Enjoy this outdoor haven, ideal for anglers, boaters, golfers and birders - the park is located on the largest open water area of Chickamauga Lake which is home to shorebirds, osprey and bald eagles. When it's time to unwind from the day, enjoy one of the 128 RV campsites with water and electrical hookups. Some campsites can even accommodate RVs up to 65 ft. Bathhouses and a playground are included. And, one tent per site can be put up beside the RV.

Henry Horton State Park – Chapel Hill
Located on the shores of picturesque Duck River, Henry Horton State Park has one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. And it’s easy to see and experience this ecosystem as the park has 56 RV campsites, several cabins, campsites and even an Inn. All campsites have tables and fire rings with firewood sold onsite. Two bathhouses that are available seasonally, one remaining open during the winter to accommodate tents and small campers without their own facilities. WiFi is also available. Check out the newly-renovated camp store that sells basic camping supplies, gifts, snacks and drinks.
While at Henry Horton State Park, anglers can catch largemouth, red-eye and smallmouth bass and catfish while here. Do something different and check out the Henry Horton Trap and Skeet Range. It includes five skeet fields, two trap fields, gun rentals and ammo, and a lodge with concessions. Participants must be 18 years of age or youth sportsman. A valid hunter education card is required for shooters under the age of 18.

If you are traveling with a trailer or RV, please use Hwy. 52 to Hwy. 136, due to inaccessibility to RVs from the south entrance of the park.
Spend your time at the park exploring the eight miles of day-use hiking trails ranging from easy to strenuous. The trails lead you along woodland areas, wildflowers, streams and Standing Stone Lake. Rent a kayak, canoe or row boat to spend the day on the lake. The 69-acre Kelly Lake is full of bass, bluegill, trout and catfish - an ideal fishing spot for anglers.
