Walk around the charming downtown area and marvel at the many murals painted around downtown as part of the beautification process spurred on by Perry County Council of the Arts. Step into their store-front for a look at the works of as many as 12 local artists ranging from painting, glass blowing, woodwork, spinning and weaving.
Other shops include Sparkey & Ringo's, a boutique that carries relaxed fashion choices. Stop in and say hi to Terry, a New York state-native and owner of Custom Creations, a store that carries exquisite jewelry Terry makes by hand. You can easily spend hours looking closely at the fine jewelry from pendants to engagement rings and men's jewelry.
Fishing
Since Linden is located near the Buffalo River and the Tennessee River, fishing is abundant in its many waterways. The Clifton Marina offers boat rentals ranging from 50 mph to 85 mph with rates going for $150-$185. Boats get rented out quickly, so if you’re planning for spring or summer, make sure to book as soon as possible.
Hiking
With Mousetail Landing State Park and Lady's Bluff Nature Trail a quick drive away, you can enjoy a fitness getaway in Linden's backyard. Five trails weave through Mousetail from easy to difficult. The longest hiking trail is Eagle Point Trail at eight miles along natural surfaces.
Lady's Bluff takes its guests along an easy to moderate hike among the bluffs as they climb to the top for breathtaking views of the Tennessee River.
