Celebrate the coming of spring in Bell Buckle during the Daffodil Day & Best of the Butts BBQ Cook-Off March 16, 2024. You'll see thousands of daffodils line the roads and farmlands for a six-mile stretch of highway leading into Bell Buckle. Once in town, enjoy the flower show where youth and adult gardeners compete for ribbons. At the Cook-Off, watch barbecue masters compete for bragging rights and get a taste to pick your favorite. Enjoy the new, family-friendly Promise Land annual Music & Arts Festival June 1, 2024 at Promise Land Historic Site in Charlotte. The new event features craft and food vendors, a children's pavilion, a Parade of Hats for Healthy Hearts at 11 a.m. and music guests. The Promise Land Community was settled by former slaves during 1870-1875 in Charlotte, Tennessee. The community encompassed more than 50 homes, several stores, three churches and an elementary school. Today, the Promise Land Heritage Association preserves and interprets the community's history.

The annual Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival takes place July 20, 2024 on Fisk University's campus. The festival celebrates and highlights the rich music history of Jefferson Street, historically one of America's best-known jazz, blues and rhythm & blues districts. Famous African American musicians played in the clubs like Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles and Memphis Slim among others. Local businesses and culture are showcased during the festival with music performances happening all day. It is the largest annual public community music festival in North Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
Celebrate African culture in Diaspora featuring music, performances and the always-popular African World Marketplace during the Kuumba Festival in Knoxville. Festivities take place on Market Square and events continue at Morningside Park. See traditional crafts, clothing and food from all over the world.
