Jamie Dailey, who grew up about an hour and a half east of Nashville in Gainesboro, is one-half of popular bluegrass duo Daily & Vincent. Together, he and Darrin Vincent have been praised as “rock stars of bluegrass” with their stellar harmonies and distinctive style. They won Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Emerging Artist of the Year, Dailey won Male Vocalist of the Year, and their song "By the Mark" won the Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year at the 2008 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. They were inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry in 2017.

Gainesboro is close to Salt Lick Creek Park, located along Cordell Hull Lake on the Cumberland River System, for great fishing and boating activities. View wildlife, walk along the fitness trails, take the kids to the playground area, or set off on a kayaking or fishing adventure on the 12,000-acre lake at Roaring River Park. Anglers can fish for largemouth bass, catfish, shad, crappie and white bass.
