Celebrating Tennessee farm life from the early 19th and 20th centuries. Come for a visit and see the home and farm collection that spotlights Tennessee's rich rural heritage. The artifacts are housed in a historic horse barn located on the spacious grounds of Ellington Agricultural Center, headquarters for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. Horse-drawn wagons, US postal buggy and 1927 Fordson tractor are all on exhibit. Enjoy the woodworking collection, horse-drawn plows, racing sulky and weaving looms and coverlets among other artifacts from farm and home life. A one-room school, log cabins, gardens and wooded trails are adjacent to the museum.
