T H E M O D E R N B E A R is a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom, recently renovated cabin tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. It accommodates 8 people comfortably - it is ideal for couples, families and friends looking for a secluded mountain getaway! This cabin offers elevated and modern features that you will enjoy throughout your stay! Every corner of the house was designed to bring a cozy and comfortable experience while creating unforgettable memories with your loved ones.
Upon entering the cabin you will notice the incredible natural light that fills the entire home with wall lined windows! The main level features a living room with a wood burning fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker, french press, hot water kettle and a dining table that is ideal for the meals you've made together and the game nights to follow. The 1/2 bath can be found right off of the kitchen. Also on the main level is a beautifully secluded deck adorned by twinkle lights, outdoor seating complete with the modern egg chairs, modern black wood burning chimineas and a unique experience of a projector screen movie showing - an experience and memory you won't believe you're making! The deck is meant to enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the quiet of your tranquil cabin and pop a bag of popcorn at night with your loved ones curled up for a movie. We've provided "unplugged" experiences as well with your ping pong table and a hutch full of board games and cards.
The second level features all three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. You won't believe the beautiful views out of your architecturally unique windows! Your oasis and good night's rest awaits you with the 12 inch memory foam mattresses.
The Modern Bear is located in a community called Cobbly Nob which is conveniently located just 12 minutes from the Greenbrier entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park!

Our cabin is a 100% NON SMOKING cabin. If there is evidence of smoking cigarettes, cigars, or marijuana inside whether it be smell, butts, ashes, ash trays, etc.) there will be a $100 fee added to the credit card on file. Please smoke 10ft away from doors and/ or open windows.
We recommend an older child, teenager or adult sleep in the top bunk. The bunk bar is very low!
Our cabin is at the back of the Cobbly Nob neighborhood which provides peaceful serenity for your stay! Please be prepared for a 4-5 min drive from the entrance of the neighborhood to the cabin and be mindful of a few curvy turns throughout the way. It is a stunning drive! In most times of the year, a 4 wheel drive is not needed. However, if you're coming and there is a chance of ice during your stay, you may want to be in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We highly suggest arriving before dark to help navigate your first drive to the cabin.
