Over a century of captivating elegance and comfort await you at the Olde Mill Inn Bed and Breakfast. Originally built in the 1890s, this unique inn features seven magnificently spacious rooms with king- and queen-size beds - all with private, full bathrooms. The moment you set your eyes on the unique decor, you'll be hoping that your stay will last forever. All rooms have been upgraded to top-of-the-line amenities, from linens to bath products. Luxurious robes and huge, soft, plush towels await you in every room.
The Mill stretches all the way back to Tennessee's colonial days. Daniel Boone's brother's family and the family of Chief Black Fox ran the mill for over 100 years before it was moved to this location in 1940. The mill wheel's constant music is a reminder for us to slow down, relax and enjoy this extraordinary town and National Park. Hundreds of miles of trails are right out our front door for you to explore. Feed our trout right outside in the stream that feeds the mill. Wonderful small shops line our small town's streets. We are the last of the "small" towns. We still walk at night after dinner, sit on the porch swings and talk to our neighbors, who are always happy to visit with you.
Being the oldest standing building in Cumberland Gap, the Mill has undergone several identity changes throughout its long life. Boarding house, wedding chapel, cookie shop, ice cream shop, museum, art school... some of the inn's original artwork from over a century ago adorns the dining room walls to this day. The log cabin pat of the building was built in the 1700s and moved here in the 1940s. With its hand-hewn logs and wide-planked floors, it will send you back in time... History is all around you in this place... Every step you take here is marked with our nation's history. Now it's your turn to come make your own.
