The historic Depot on Town Square is the location of Collierville's Visitors Center, open Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. The office offers maps, brochures, walking tours, and recommendations on the best places to eat, shop, and stay.
Each year the Town of Collierville goes all out to help create a magical Christmas season for Collierville’s families and guests. This year families can take a horse-drawn carriage ride around Town Square, snap pictures along the Holiday Photo Stroll, and experience a quarter of a million holiday lights in the historic district! Free carriage rides will be offered from 10am-4pm (weather permitting), Santa will be in the Gazebo on Town Square for photo opportunities from 10am-2pm, and a quarter million holiday lights will shine bright in the historic district from Thanksgiving to January 1st. All events are free. This year’s “Christmas in Collierville” takes place on Saturdays between November 27 – December 18, 2021. See the complete schedule at www.colliervilletn.gov/explore
A little bit of history: In 1944, Collierville's existing train depot was moved from LaGrange, Tennessee and in 1976, Southern Railroad gave the depot to the Town of Collierville. As far as research can ascertain, this is the third depot to be located in Collierville since the railroad was originally chartered as Memphis Charleston Railroad in 1852. This is great spot to take-in all of Collierville's railroad history!
