Visit the one of the most photographed buildings in Tennessee, the Customs House Museum! First used as a post office and customs house in 1878 to accommodate the flourishing tobacco trade, this architecturally unique structure houses both permanent and rotating exhibits. Located in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is the State's second largest general museum. With over 35,000 square feet of exhibit space, hands-on activities and special events…people of all ages agree – the Customs House Museum is well worth the stop!

Free for Children under 6 and Museum Members.

The Museum also offers a monthly FREE admission day, which is the second Saturday of every month.


Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Model Trains run every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
