Authentic 50's soda shop and diner. Hand-dipped ice cream, real, old-fashioned milkshakes and malts, burgers, fries, onion rings, fried bologna, "hound" dogs, fried pork tenderloins and much more. Rock n roll memorabilia, Elvis playing on the jukebox and just really good stuffs in the general store.

The Rock-a-Billy Diner is located inside the Cumberland Mountain General Store on Highway 127 in Clarkrange. The General Store is a real general store built in 1923. It was located across the street and was going to torn down and burned in the late 70's. It was subsequently purchased and moved to it's current location in 1980. Over the years it has been used primarily as an antiques and collectibles store.

Around 1992 a back section of the store was remodeled into the Rock-a-Billy Diner. An original 1947 soda fountain with the actual counter and stools was purchased and moved from Kentucky. We still use the original milkshake machines from the 40's and early 50's to hand make all of our shakes. All of our ice cream is fashioned the same way, by hand and made the way we would want one made for us. Our banana splits have become world famous and are definitely over the top and something to try.
