Honoring the music of Blues pioneers Hammie Nixon, Yank Rachell and "Sleepy" John Estes, music fans of all ages are encouraged to gather at the Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville, TN for the Annual Exit 56 Blues Fest.

This festival attracts Blues enthusiasts from all over the region. Presented by the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center (recent recipient of nine Tennessee Association of Museum Awards in honor of the Tina Turner Museum at Flagg Grove School), this free festival will include live music from an eclectic gathering of West Tennessee Blues men and women, arts and crafts, car and motorcycle cruise in/corvette car show, and the famous deep-fried barbecue eating competition.

Blues music has deep roots in American history, which got its start in the Delta regions of the South. “We are excited to be one of the stops on the Americana Music Triangle and after their launch last week, it is clear to see the relationship these genres have along the ‘Gold Record Road,’” says Sonia Outlaw-Clark, Director of the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center. “We are pleased to recognize the launch during this festival and also to present entertainers and musicians from sister locations such as Clarksdale, Mississippi.”
