Greeks Bearing Gifts...the fine gift shop of Athens

Greeks Bearing Gifts opened in September 1996 in Downtown Athens, on the Square.  Jim and I began our retail backgrounds in Nashville, Patti at McClures and Jim began in Dallas at Lord and Taylor.  We then began working together at Crabrtee & Evelyn at the Northpark Mall in Dallas, Texas.  After 18 months moved to the home office of Crabtree & Evelyn in Woodstock, CT. We enjoyed our 10 1/2 years... then we decided to move back home to Tennessee.  We selected Athens,the "Friendly City" for our new home. Our customers have been so good to us, they have kept us open for 26+ years.   

We go to the Atlanta Market and look for items that make your gifts as much fun to give, and always wrapped to impress the recepient!  We specialize in Customer Service, we look for specific things for customers--we try to make sure each gift is talored for each occassion.   Greeks looks for quality in the buinesses we represent, Juliska, Vietri, Skyros, Polish Pottery, Julie Vos, e newton, Kendra Scott, Brighton and Pandora.  Greeks has a very large selection of Childrens books and Jelly Cat, that make great gifts with the Aden & Anias or Little Unicorn baby items.  Toys and games---we have lots of those as well.        We make sure to have new and different personalized items for Athens, Englewood, Riceville, Decatur, Niota, Etowah and other surrounding towns items such as kitchen towels, coasters, magnets, plus we have local authors books.  We also represent HOBO, Barefoot Dreams, and Bogg Bags/weekend Bags. 

We have Bridal Registry, Baby Registry, Tolietries for Men and Women; Artchipelago, Caswell Massey, Lollia, Duke Cannon, Caren, Eurpean Soaps to name a few.  Familar with Catstudio?  We have many States plus the SEC teams.  Entertaining?  If you live is the South, we always have a few treats on hand, award winning Hot Pepper Bacon Jam to Woodford Reserve Chocolates to Mississippi Cheese Straws to many other regional treats.  Our Cookbook section is rather large.  From time to time we have well known Author Anne Byrn signed cookbooks.  

Again, Greeks is very involved in the Commuinty that has been so good to us.  Jim and I support the Athens Art Center, The E.G. Fisher Library, The McMinn County Living Hertiage Museum, Main Street, United Way for McMinn-Meigs County and McMinn Regional Humane Society many other non-profit organaizations.
