Since 2014 Collierville has celebrated its long connection to trains. Join us on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10am-3pm for Train Heritage Day at the Depot Visitors Center on Collierville Town Square and Morton Museum of Collierville History as we continue the tradition!
Admission is free.
Activities at the Museum will be available 10:00am - 3:00pm. Enjoy model train displays by the TCA Casey Jones Chapter and MidSouth Garden Railway Society, learn about railroad safety from the TDOT Railway Safety team, and purchase a sweet treat from Mempops in the Butterfly Garden.
The event extends to the Depot Visitors Center on Town Square where you can see the Bluff City Benders' N-scale model railroad display and climb aboard three historic railcars. At 10:30am and 12:00pm, meet at the locomotives to hear a guided talk about the mechanics of Collierville's famous steam locomotive, Frisco 1351!
From 11am - 2pm, enjoy bluegrass music by the Wayne Jerrolds Band at Town Square Park Gazebo.
