Tennessee Preservation Trust
In the summer of 1999, a group of approximately 30 people, representing interested persons and organizations from across the state, met with staff from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The group inherited the charter and membership roster of the Tennessee Heritage Alliance, which started in 1982 and was active through the mid-1990s.

Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association
