Bledsoe Creek State Park - Gallatin

Campgrounds across Tennessee offer adventure and outdoor scenic beauty and the perfect spot to warm marshmallows and melt chocolate between crunchy graham crackers. Bledsoe Creek State Park in Gallatin has beautiful views of the lake and paved campsites with fire rings, grills, lantern holders and picnic tables. Each December, the park hosts Santa & S’mores. Guests can join Santa Claus for an afternoon around the campfire, sip on hot cocoa and enjoy s’mores.

Frozen Head State Park - Wartburg

With campsites spread around the Big Cove Campground at Frozen Head State Park, you’ll find solitude, breathtaking waterfalls, beautiful scenery, backpacking and hiking. Twenty rustic campsites are scattered throughout the area. A modern bathhouse with hot showers, picnic tables, grills, lantern hangers and a fire ring are included. There are eight primitive sites and 10 designated backcountry campsites available as well. All campfires must be made with heat-treated or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Certified heat-treated wood is available to purchase from concessioners in many of the campgrounds as well as from vendors in the communities around the park. Certified heat-treated wood is clearly marked with a state/federal seal.

Under Canvas - Pigeon Forge

If you're more of a glamper, Under Canvas has you covered with their luxury safari tents tucked away in the Great Smoky Mountains. Book a Stargazer tent which includes a king-size bed under a viewing window above, linens, a shower, sink and flushing toilet, a wood stove and a private deck. The Safari Tent is a cabin-style tent with a king-size bed and a wood burning stove. Close communal bathrooms that include hot showers are also featured.

Chickasaw State Park - Henderson

Chickasaw State Park is a 1,400-acre state park filled with paddling opportunities, bird watching, easy to moderate hiking trails, biking, and fishing on Lake Placid and Lake Lajoie. You can even rent a horse to ride five miles of trails or bring your own steed to explore the hundreds of miles of trails. After your full day of outdoor activities, settle in one of the 29 tent campgrounds or the 32 wrangler campgrounds if you're traveling with your horse. All campsites have picnic tables and grilles along with modern bathhouses with restrooms and hot showers.
